We now have more than 10 different coworking spaces in London & Lisbon, providing space for freelancers, startups and small businesses. So whether you want to be in a shared space or private office we can help (teams ranging from 1 to 25+ people).
We’ve got offices for rent in Shoreditch, Spitalfields, Liverpool Street, Whitechapel and Cacilhas (Lisbon, well Almada really, the south bank of Lisbon). In total we’ve got nearly 100,000 sq/ft of space for startups and small businesses, so pretty much anything is possible.
There’s a range of coworking / private offices spaces. We’ve got space in “office type” & warehouse buildings like everybody else, but also we’ve got a row of Georgian town houses which were previously offices of the NHS.
Our spaces are eclectic, and that’s being kind to our founder who loves pianos and grandfather clocks, and many other random 19th century items. With this many real startups all hustling and bustling it’s never going to feel sleek and spick-and-span, so reign in your expectations we’re not this affordable without reason. We are here to help startups and businesses get going without breaking the bank, we’re not here to be on the equivalent of MTV cribs for coworking spaces.
(But we definitely know what startups actually need from a coworking space)
We are here to help, whether you need coworking space, private office space, or a commercial kitchen, then we’ve got it… We’re not glamorous so if you’ve got a pile of cash to burn then you might find that coworking spaces such as WeWork or Foraspace more suitable for your burn rate, we’re definitely not scared of the competition, we’re just a little different.
We’ve never focused on attracting a particular sector. To begin with, this was just about us getting enough bums on seats so we wouldn’t go bust. Now, it’s a real decision to have coworking spaces full of businesses from different sectors. We’ve seen amazing collaboration and sharing of networks happen between the most unlikely of tenants. From fashion-tech and food-tech to fin-tech, we bring all startups together in the knowledge that we can all learn from each other.
A strong focus of ours is to be as transparent as possible. We are not a fan of how some of our competitors do things, like charging for meeting rooms and tying startups into 3 or 6 month contracts – startups don’t always know where they’ll be in 6 weeks, let alone 6 months!
Our largest building to date, Loom court has a massive community of nearly 500 startup folk. Situated inside a beautiful redbrick building on one of the last cobbled streets in the city, our 5 floors feature comfortable breakout space, showers, meeting rooms, phone booths, and private offices full of natural light. We’re super-well connected here, sat in between Liverpool Street and Shoreditch High Street stations and backing onto Spitalfields market, you’ll never get bored of the local food and drink options.
Being our first ever Ministry of Startups space, 4 Elder st remains close to our hearts. With 2 floors of coworking space and 2 floors of private offices, there’s a nice mix of both teams and individuals, giving the building a vibrant startup energy. With 3 meeting rooms, showers, a couple of kitchens and various breakout areas, you’ve got just what you need when you have to pull that long shift. But don’t worry, you won’t be alone, the hustle is real in this space.
Our open plan coworking space at Blossom street is best suited to teams and individuals that like a quieter working experience. Although sometimes a little cluttered (as startups tend to accumulate stuff), there’s loads of natural light and space. With 2 meeting rooms (one better than the other) and a few sofa areas, there’s always somewhere to have a chat away from your desk. Situated on the same corner as the famous Water Poet pub, there’s always a cold one nearby and within a 5 minute walk of Liverpool St Station, you’re in a good place to get around.
Recently opened, our Turner St location sits over 5 floors in what we think is a pretty cool Art Deco building. With windows on 3 sides, tall ceilings and timber/perspex partitions, there’s space and light to keep a clear head and a bouldering wall out back if you need to get the blood pumping. Within 5 mins of both Whitechapel and Shadwell Stations, what may seem slightly out of the way tends to be better connected than you think.
We’re finally at the size where we’re able to offer a Hot-Desking membership option. With 5 floors to choose from, you can work in a different environment each day if you like to mix it up. You’ll have full, free access to all of our meeting rooms and you can use our space for upto 8 days a month before 6pm mon-fri, and have unlimited access after 6pm and on weekends.
We’ve picked up a line of interconnected terraced houses on Philpot st with large windows and tall ceilings making this new site, one of our ‘plusher’ options. With private offices of all shapes and sizes from 2 persons to 14 persons and shared break out space/kitchens, you’ll feel a real startup energy as soon as you step inside. Like our Turner St location, this site is less than 5 mins from both Whitechapel and Shadwell Stations, meaning you can pretty much get anywhere fast, including the city, If you’re that way inclined...
